Meet Fiona, your travel advisor
Fiona Forward was born on the Australian island state of Tasmania. Growing up in a land with diverse forests, grasslands, and gorgeous beaches gave her a deep appreciation for what a place and its people can do for the soul. From a life-changing hiking trip, an unforgettable meal, a sunrise, or the lucky accidents that come with truly knowing a place - travel became Fiona's passion at an early age. First, she explored Australia. Next, it was backpacking through Europe – always looking to experience new lands as a traveler with a knack for finding out the local favorites as well.
In her twenties, she lived in London, learning to love the rain and easy access to weekend getaways all over Europe. She went from a solo traveler to flying across the globe as part of an adventurous couple, and then as a new mother. She began traveling with her children when her daughter was a baby – this gave her a unique perspective on what to look for in hotels, restaurants, and how to plan a day abroad when one has babies in tow. Soon, Fiona found herself organizing her family's multi-generational travel. She loved the careful curation that is part of the creative process of planning a trip. She also knew that providing different options each day was key to keeping grandparents and grandchildren happy alike. |
Fiona settled down with her growing family in New York City, which was the perfect base for family adventures from the Galapagos to Bermuda to Singapore. She continued to develop and use her extensive knowledge to orchestrate multi-generational vacations, finding something for all parties involved and maximizing the experience.
For years, Fiona's friends sought her guidance in planning their trips, knowing she could be counted on to give referrals to the latest hotel or restaurants in Africa, Europe, Asia, and beyond.
For Fiona, planning a trip is a true collaboration. Working as a travel advisor grew out of this love of helping others discover their magical destinations, and designing bespoke vacations is her specialty.
